PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) Product Guide
Applications | Mechanical Data
Overview
PEEK is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic with the ability to maintain its stiffness at high temperatures. Due to its outstanding resistance to harsh chemicals, dimensional stability, and mechanical strength PEEK has a proven track record in a variety of challenging environments. Also, PEEK offers hydrolysis resistance, ease of machining, very low smoke or toxic gas emissions when exposed to a flame, and is suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 338°F. It is typically used for aerospace parts, semiconductor machinery components, vacuum wand handles, down hole electrical connectors, food processing machinery components, and medical instrument parts.
