Aluminum 5005 Product Guide
Applications | Mechanical and Chemical Data | Tolerances
Overview
Aluminum 5005 is known for its good formability and is commonly used in applications requiring high workability. 5005 is the weakest non-heat treatable alloy of aluminum, but can be hardened through cold working. Additionally, it has good corrosion resistance, weldability, and 5005 is easily anodized. 5005 is typically used in furniture, road signs, architectural paneling, automotive parts, and HVAC equipment.
