4130 Product Guide
Applications | Specifications | Mechanical and Chemical Data | Tolerances
Overview
Offers good strength, and weldability without compromising steel abrasion and impact resistance. Easy to machine and hot work as well as cold work in the annealed state, it becomes significantly more challenging once the steel is hardened. 4130 steel can also be easily welded. It is typically used in structural applications, including gears, fasteners, and some aircraft exterior.
