Overview
Also known as red brass, this material is significantly stronger than yellow brass and also has excellent corrosion resistance. Additionally, 230 can be easily cold worked, hot formed, soldered, and brazed. Welding is rated as fair to good depending on the type of welding. It is typically used in jewelry, pens, decorative parts, light fixtures, steam iron parts, sprinklers, and weather stripping.
