Product Details, Specifications, and Technical Information

White Oak Hardwood is a native wood to the Eastern US and Canada and is prized for its hardiness and wear resistance.

In color and appearance, the heartwood (closer to tree center) can range from whitish to light brown. Whereas, the sapwood (closer to tree bark) is a grayish green.

White oak wood has a straight grain, with a coarse texture caused by the open grain. White oak tends to have longer rays than red oak.

With its tight cell structure, water cannot pass through, making white oak ideal for interior and exterior applications.

MakerStock White Oak Hardwood is S4S, meaning it has been surfaced on all four sides. Each panel has been planed or milled to create a smooth and finished appearance on all four sides making it the perfect project ready material.

We stock White Oak hardwood in 4 1/2" widths in nominally sized 1/4" and 3/4" thicknesses.
