Stainless Rectangle Bar 420 offers excellent strength, good heat resistance, but only mild corrosion resistance. 420 possesses similar qualities to the 410 grade, but provides improved hardness and strength when heat treated. It is typically used in shear blades, needle valves, surgical equipment, cutlery, bearings, bushings, fasteners, screens, mine ladder rungs, pumps shafts, valve components, turbines, steam and gas applications.
