L6 Tool Steel

L6 Tool Steel is a chromium-containing hot-work tool steel with around 0.7% carbon content, offering high resistance to deformation at elevated temperatures. It is characterized by excellent wear resistance, toughness, and hot hardness, making it suitable for applications like forging dies, extruding tools, hot shears, forming dies, punches, and other tooling components subjected to heavy stresses, abrasion, and high heat. Its high chromium content contributes to its strength and hardness, while the low alloy composition provides a balance of toughness and wear resistance.
