Carbon Steel Sheet/Plate A1011 Pickled & Oiled

A1011 is a commercial quality hot rolled low carbon steel containing around 0.08-0.13% carbon and under 0.6% manganese. It is supplied in sheet or plate form that has been descaled by pickling in acid to remove mill scale, and then coated with a rust preventative oil. This gives the steel a smooth blue-grey finish suitable for applications requiring a clean surface like automotive stampings, appliance housings, and ornamental projects where good formability, weldability and moderate strength are needed.
